Meals are served and eaten together family style, and prepared in an open kitchen where guests can enjoy the creativity of the chefs at work. Seasonal ingredients are sourced locally and from the property gardens and fruit trees. All wines, cheeses, and meats are regional and ethically produced.
Award-winning chef Rissa Miller - the founder of Rome Retreats - has over 20 years of professional cooking and restaurant experience, and takes pride in all food being the highest quality, aesthetically beautiful, fresh, healing, and flavorful. Rissa designs menus everywhere from traditional Italian to creative and contemporary. She is trained in classical French and Italian, but has also worked intensively in Japanese, Indian, and Vegan cuisines.
