Just 10 minutes drive from our property lives the world renowned olive oil expert Johnny Madge. From his hilltop Medieval village he gives a variety of lectures, classes, and tours. We unconditionally recommend booking a tour with him during your stay.

Walks and Hikes
Guided hike to Rocchette, a mountain top village with breathtaking views, with a picnic stop and swim in a natural creek. 3 hours of walking. Moderate fitness level required.
Guided horseback ride through the Sabine countryside. 1-3 hours. No experience necessary.
Short hike to nearby Remigio with panoramic views and a tasting of organic, local wines and cheese. 1 hour of walking. Moderate fitness level required.
Historical Tours and Sacred Sites
The Subiaco Monastery. Built on the side of a mountain with stunning views, the monastery was founded by St. Benedict after he spent 3 years living in a cave here in 500 A.D. It houses exquisite 13th Century frescoes. Picnic lunch included.
The Farfa Abbey is one of the historical and architectural wonders of Sabina, founded in the 6th Century. We can arrange a tour with a licensed guide, or with a Benedictine monk.
